Hamilton County Sheriff accused of tampering with government records

Hamilton County Sheriff Jason Bradley Boulton was arrested by the Texas Rangers and booked into Coryell County Jail.

According to arrest records, Sheriff Boulton is facing charges of tampering with government records, abuse of official capacity, failure to report a felony and false statement to law enforcement. He bonded out of jail.

According to an arrest affidavit, Boulton “knowingly made a false entry in a government record, namely a Monthly Community Service Time Sheet, the false entry being the addition of working 8 hours that were, in part or full, not worked by the probationer,” on Oct. 4 and 5 of 2024, December 9 and 13 of 2024 and March 12 of 2025.
