Florida deputy who Tased suspect near gas pump, igniting both, to face charge

A deputy with the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office is now facing criminal charges for an incident that happened over a year ago.

\The sheriff’s office and the State Attorney’s Office both say Deputy David Crawford fired a Taser by a gas pump, leading to a fire that injured both him

self and a man he was attempting to arrest.

 He didn't simply "fire his taser near a gas pump". They had tackled the suspect, knocking over the bike with the fuel cap still off, spilling gasoline everywhere, including on the suspect AND the other cop.

And as horrific and awful as this act of police stupidity was, it could have actually been worse. The cop could potentially have blown up the entire gas station and everyone nearby, including himself.
