1 CO Guilty, 2 Others Cleared: Verdict Reached in Trial of Former Marcy Corrections Officers

UTICA, N.Y. -- A verdict has been reached in the trial of three former corrections officers accused of killing Marcy Correctional Facility inmate Robert Brooks last December.

David Kingsley was found guilty of murder in the second degree and manslaughter in the first degree.

Nicholas Kieffer was found not guilty of second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, second-degree gang assault and offering a false instrument.

Mathew Galliher was found not guilty of second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter and gang assault in the second degree.
