Akron Officer Fires 15 Rounds on Man Outside a Bar After Gun Reports

I really hope there is a hell because this cop needs to go there!!!! I can only imagine how he treats his kids and wife or boyfriend.

Akron, Ohio — On Tuesday, November 11th, 2025 at 9:03 p.m., employees and patrons at Karam’s Lounge in Akron’s Ellet neighborhood noticed a 36-year-old man acting strangely inside the bar on the night of November 11.

According to witnesses, the man appeared intoxicated, was behaving erratically, and was eventually asked to leave. After being removed from the bar, he reportedly became more agitated in the parking lot.

Several people called 911 claiming he was pointing what looked like a gun through the bar’s windows and threatening to shoot, prompting the staff to lock the doors and take cover.

These emergency calls brought Akron police officers to the scene.

Within moments of arriving, one officer encountered the man outside the bar. Believing he was armed based on the 911 reports, the officer repeatedly ordered him to show his hands and get on the ground.

The man appeared confused and partially complied but then moved his hands toward his jacket, which the officer interpreted as a potential threat. Within about 20 seconds of first making contact, the officer opened fire, striking the man multiple times.

Officers gave first aid to the man before paramedics arrived on the scene. Paramedics took the man to a local hospital with “serious injuries,” according to Akron police. After the shooting, officers searched him but did not find a gun, leading to ongoing investigations into what exactly happened and whether the initial reports of a firearm were accurate.
