Prescott police officer indicted in June 2024 shooting death of Daniel Leslie

The brother of Daniel Leslie, the man killed by former Prescott Police officer Brian Sutton in 2024, reacts to the news of Sutton's indictment.

Sutton is accused of manslaughter as Daniel wasn't armed and was running away. The Prescott Police Department says that Sutton is no longer employed by the city.

"It is very, very difficult politically for a county attorney to charge a police officer because police officers are their witnesses, their primary witnesses in the vast majority of the criminal cases that they prosecute," attorney Richard Lyons said.
