Bowie police officer convicted of attempted murder after shooting at man in 2024

A Bowie, Maryland, police officer was convicted by a Prince George's County judge Wednesday after he shot at a man while responding to a stalled vehicle in 2024.

Robert Warrington was convicted of attempted second-degree murder and other charges after a judge said his actions on Sept. 12, 2024, did not merit the typical protections afforded police officers.
