McBee mayor turns himself in in connection to QCN 'Officer Down' investigation

On July 27, 2026, three McBee, S.C. lawmen - including current Chief Timmy Knight - surrendered to state invesitgators on charges connected to allegations of felony criminal conspiracy and operating a ticket quota uncovered in our 'Officer Down' investigative series.

Multiple current and former members of the McBee Police Department, as well as the mayor, turned themselves in to agents with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED)
